Photography Design

I found this design in the CommArts Photography Annual, I thought it was intersting because if this was a real photo people would be appauled. The tattoos, I'm assuming were added on by photoshop or maybe they were painted on. It was used for a direct mail campaign and an e-mail holiday card. I just liked the design because I thought these kids looked bad ass.
